The distinguished authors are renowned for their detail on case law, legislation and their general and comparative view of the law of trusts across all Australian jurisdictions. The breadth of content is impressive, providing information on pension fund and trustee legislation in the UK and NZ, completeness of gifts in equity, investment of trust funds, management of pension funds, remedies and constructive trusts. Chapters are constantly revised and reissued. The Law of Trusts is regularly cited in Australian judgments, as an example, it was cited six times in the landmark case of Hagan v Waterhouse.
Mr Lee is also the annotation author for the standalone Legislation Volume. The cross- references from the provisions of the legislation are to the commentary and analysis related to that provision. As we introduced two considerable chapters on “Charities” into the service, the Charitable Trusts Acts have been included using the same method of cross-referencing.
A comparative table cross-referencing the provisions of all Australian trusts and trustee legislation and that of New Zealand and the UK complements this work.
