Exact Phrase search field will find the terms exactly how you enter them into the Exact phrase field.
Note: There is no need to enclose your words with double quotation marks.
The Near Search field will find your terms in any order within a close proximity to each other.
Note: If two words are entered they will be within ten words of each other, any additional word added will increase this number by ten.
Often you may think of a phrase that could be said a number of ways depending on the context it’s written. When this occurs then use the near field to ensure you find all ways your terms can be mentioned. Some examples are:
”Tax rates” or Rates of Tax
“Employee share scheme” or Share scheme for employees
When you have words that can have various endings you can use the wildcard (*) to truncate the word. Some examples are:
Employee* = Employee or Employees
Enforc* = Enforce, Enforcing, Enforced
