Annotations are displaced when the text to which an Annotation was attached has been moved, usually as a result of the title being updated. To reposition an Annotation you can Search a title for displaced text, jump to a section or manually resposition.
Option 1: To Search a Title for Displaced Text
ProView will search the entire title for an exact text match. You can then choose from any of these matches and ProView will automatically reposition your Annotation.
Step 1: Click or tap the Annotations icon then click or tap the Displaced Annotations button.
Step 2: Click or tap the Displaced Annotation then select Search Title for Displaced Text from the popup menu. ProView will search for a word match and retrieve content with the best match.
Step 6: The new repositioned Annotation will now be displayed.
Option 2: Jump to Section
Click or tap this option to take you to the beginning of the section within which the Annotation was originally placed. You can then select new text and choose Attach Displaced Annotation to reposition your Annotation. Note: If this option displays the front page of the eBook or eSub the text can not be located. See option 3 to Manually Reposition below.
Option 3: Manually Reposition
Locate and select new text to which you would like your Annotation to be attached and tap Attach Displaced Annotation. Note: Use the Browse or Search feature to locate the new text.
