A new search enhancement to the Basic search template will be available in the Checkpoint 16.09 release. This is scheduled for 21st September 2016.
The New Natural language search option is available on the Basic Search Template under Research. When using the Natural language search option, you can use plain language to conduct your search – no need for Boolean connectors.
Your search can be entered as free text and phrased as a question or sentence or key terms can be used. Reviewing your search results is also made easier as only the top 100 results will be displayed and ranked based on relevancy, with the most relevant documents matching your search terms.
You can continue to run searches as you do now by searching for specific terms with the option to use Boolean connectors, by selecting the Terms & Connectors option. When using Boolean connectors in searches terms on Checkpoint will return even more targeted results.
We develop in partnership with our customers and welcome your input to deliver enhancements that work the way you do. If you require more information on this release, please contact Support ANZ on 1800 074 333, email us SupportANZ@thomsonreuters.com, or contact your account manager.
